Course Description: Hedgecutters are great machines for keeping hedges and shrubs neat and tidy. This course can cover both long reach and short reach machines. Like any piece of machinery, if used incorrectly has the risk of causing a serious injury to the operator and others. This course will cover the safety guidelines and correct techniques of using a hedgecutter. What does the course cover? Risk Assessment, Legislation, PPE, Safety Checks, Pre-Start Checks, Hedgerow Regulations, Site Safety, Operation of the Machine using a range of Techniques, Clean down and Aftercare Maintenance. Suitable for those working in Arboriculture, Forestry, Gardens, Grounds, Facilities and Estate Maintenance. Important: Candidates must be aged 16 years old or over and ideally hold a current Emergency First Aid at Work certificate.
